kristen stewart

Though most famous for her role as Bella Swan in the Twilight saga, Kristen Stewart has been a working actor since her early years in Los Angeles, California. Her parents, John Stewart and Jules Mann-Stewart, both work in film and television. Her mother is Australian. The family includes three boys, her older brother Cameron Stewart, and two adopted brothers Dana and Taylor.
After a talent scout caught her grade school performance in a Christmas play at the age of eight, she appeared on television in a few small roles. Her first significant role came when she was cast as Sam Jennings in The Safety of Objects (2001). Soon after that, she starred alongside Jodie Foster in the hit drama, Panic Room (2002) and was nominated for a Young Artist Award.
Praised for her Panic Room performance, she went on to join the cast of Cold Creek Manor (2003) as the daughter of Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone. Though the film did not do well at the box office, she received another nomination for a Young Artist Award. After appearing in a handful of movies and a Showtime movie called Speak (2004), Stewart was cast in the role of a teenage singer living in a commune in Sean Penn's Into the Wild (2007), a critically acclaimed biopic. A third Young Artist Award nomination resulted in a win for this role. She also appeared in Mary Stuart Masterson's The Cake Eaters (2007) that same year.

celebrity SHORT CUTS

THINKING OF HAIR YOUR HAIR CUT SHORT FOR SUMMER?
Here's some celeb 'short hair' inspiration...
Cate Blanchett's style is a classic shape, but what makes it feel new are the rounded layers that impart a soft, swingy quality.  This cut softens the jawline but accentuates a round face, and it works whether hair is straight or curly—just not too thick.

Evan Rachel Wood's cut is short above her ears, with choppy layers that go from her bangs to her nape. Cut squarely at the sides and back, the layers on top are razored, which softens this look when tousled with wax. This works if hair is fine to medium and wavy or straight, but looks rounded if it's curly.

Halle Berry's cut is a modernized version of a pixie - it's squarer on the sides and longer on top. It's also cut at random so the layers all vary in length which softens her cheekbones and brings out her eyes.
It's perfect for wavy, curly, or coarse hair—any thinner can look too spiky.

Ashlee Simpson's cut is layered pixie cut to the shape of the head, leaving length at the forehead, nape of the neck, and sides. She has a heart-shaped face, so keeping the hair a little  longer and adding side-swept bangs balances her jawline.

It's official! Cheryl Cole WILL be a judge on the U.S. version of X Factor

By SARAH FITZMAURICE

I'm in! Cheryl Cole is excited to be heading stateside for the U.S. version of the show where she will sit next to Simon Cowell and LA Reid on the judging panel

After months of speculation, the wait is finally over - it has been confirmed that Cheryl Cole WILL be appearing as a judge on the U.S. version of The X Factor.

In a statement released today, the British singer is confirmed as a judge on the talent show - joining Simon Cowell and Antonio 'LA' Reid on the judging panel.

Cheryl, 27, has already voiced her excitement about the new role searching for the talent America has to offer and said she is ready to battle it out against Cowell on the first series.

Ready for battle: Cheryl can't wait to get the first series of the American version of the X Factor show underway and is looking to beat Simon Cowell as she has in the U.K. show

Cole said: 'I’m so excited to be taking part in the American version of The X Factor. I absolutely love it here in the UK, and with the talent they have out in America, I’m sure we’re going to find someone very special.'

She added: 'I can’t wait to get started. I just can’t decide whether I am more excited to find and nurture the talent or for the unbelievable amount of amusement and entertainment I will have watching Simon doing everything and anything he can to beat me.

'He’s tried to beat me for three years in the UK, and hasn’t even come close. His ego must be so bruised. America is gonna love this.'

Great chemistry: Fox bosses have praised Cheryl's talent as a judge and have said America will love the way she interacts with Simon Cowell

Cowell, who has championed the Geordie singer in the U.S., said: 'I’m thrilled for Cheryl. She is massively excited about this show, and has been fantastic to work with.'

He added: 'She is also a complete brat! Most importantly, this girl can spot talent.'

The confirmation about her X Factor role comes only days before auditions are held this Sunday, May 8, in specially-built high-definition recording studios in Honolulu, Phoenix, Nashville, Anchorage, Kansas City and Denver.

Auditions will continue in Dallas on May 26.

The U.S. version of The X Factor is set to be the biggest and best yet with the winner scooping a recording contract worth $5 million.

Katy Perry keeps her band waiting for an hour at the airport

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

'Sorry I'm late guys': Katy Perry smiles at her entourage as she finally arrives at her private plane at Sydney airport

One of the down points of working for an A-list stars is inevitably being kept waiting for them.

But when you're forced to wait around for your employer on a private jet, then perhaps we shouldn't feel too sorry for Katy Perry's minions.

The American singer kept her entourage waiting at Sydney airport for an hour ahead of a 90 minute flight to Brisbane.

I'm here guys: Perry has a large group of men waiting for her when she gets to the airport

When she eventually turned up, it appeared the 26-year-old couldn't be bothered to get dressed as she appeared to be wearing her pyjamas.

The California Gurls singer flew to Brisbane ahead of her gig tonight at the Queensland city's Entertainment Centre.

On Tuesday, she performed to thousands of fans at the Sydney Entertainment Centre after forming a friendship earlier this week with newcomer Jessie J.

Dressed down: It appears Katy didn't bother to get dressed out of her pyjamas after checking out of her Sydney hotel

Brit Award winner Jessie, who is promoting her debut album Down Under, checked out Perry's Sydney gig.

She wrote on Twitter: 'Just met Katy Perry. The show was incredible, she is beautiful and so sweet. I wish I had her boobs lol.'

In return, Perry Tweeted: 'Nice to meet you too, you're a DOLL. And p.s. the offer still stands... I'll trade my tits for your gams (legs).'

During her Sydney gig, Perry admitted she wasn't a fan of Vegemite spread, revealing she had actually thrown up after eating it.

After the Antipodean leg of her California Dreams tour wraps next week, Perry will take it to Asia, then to North America in June.

The 117-date tour ends in Dublin in November.
