simply STUNNING

EVEN THE SIMPLEST HAIRSTYLE CAN MAKE AN IMPACT
if your hair is in great condition! Here's how to make you hair shine...
For fine or limp hair: Nourish hair with a weekly hot-oil treatment. It's lighter than a mask and won't weigh down fine hair. Pick one with proteins, which fatten strands.
If you have curly or coarse hair: Once a week, apply a deep conditioner that contains keratin to just-shampooed hair. Leave it on for ten minutes. The conditioners seal the cuticle to keep out moisture (which helps prevent frizz), while the keratin strengthens hair to resist damage.
You can also have an in-salon gloss-treatment, for more info

fine SHINE

ADD SHINE TO SUPER FINE HAIR {without weighing it down}...
by rubbing a bit of shine serum between your hands, then skimming your hairbrush bristles over your palms. When you brush your hair, it will distribute the serum evenly, so you won't overdo it.
The same technique works with hair spray, too.

super-sleek HAIR TRICK

WANT SMOOTHER, SHINIER HAIR? GIVE THIS A GO...
Fix fly-aways and the frizzies by hitting the 'cool' button on your hairdryer and giving your hair a shot of cold air for a couple of minutes - after it's dry - to seal and smooth strands. It will also boost shine - as light reflects best off a flat surface - and will help your hair hold its style better.

younger-looking LOCKS

DID YOU KNOW... ?
"Hair that gleams can send a clear sign that you're young and in your prime, whatever your actual age," says Helen Fisher, Ph.D., biological anthropologist at Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey. Because youth is associated with fertility, humans are wired to interpret it as a sign of attractiveness.
(Shiny hair = young = irresistible!)
Follow these rules to restore luminosity and offset the dulling effects of heat styling and too-frequent colour touch-ups.
Amp up colour.
Youthful hair is packed with pigment-making cells functioning at full tilt, which makes for rich, saturated, light-reflecting colour. Could your strands use a little professional help? In the salon, ask for a warm shade (think butter blonde, caramel brown, copper) that's similar to your natural color so it won't require more upkeep than you have time for.
Or brighten up with highlights:
Adding a few random, subtly lighter strands around your face gives the illusion of extra shine. To help colour sink in more evenly (which turns up the shine factor), use a deep-conditioning mask before and after you colour; repeat treatments once a week to keep your hair looking luminous.
